Who We Are - Words from our owner, Howie Mackenzie



Rafuse Autoparts Center opened it's doors in 1946 by Bob Rafuse, they were looking for
auto parts after the war to service dealerships due to the lack of parts available at the time.

I purchased the business in 1998.  At the time we employed 11 full time staff plus
management.  Some 15 years later we have sales of 5 million dollars and employ 26
full time and part time staff.  We carry a complete line of aftermarket auto parts,
equipment, Benjamin Moore Paint, paint accessories, and even some tractor and marine
parts.  Our motto is, " if we don't have it we will get it."

Our growth has to be contributed to an excellent staff and a vision to grow.  I was lucky
to acquire two young and energetic young men who have moved up to be managers of
all day to day operations.  They along with some great staff are the main reason we have
been successful.  We have expanded 3 times in my short time as owner.  Putting money
back into the business and letting it grow was a vision that I had when I bought Rafuse
Autoparts Centre and we will continue to do so.  In time will see where we are  in
headed over the
next few years.

One huge area of growth has been the Benjamin Moore Section, with sales of $40,000
a year and a small inventory in the corner store when first purchased, we now have over
$100,000 in inventory and sales over $400,000.  This has been a large part to the paint

staff headed by Trudy Rafuse ( no relation ) better known as the paint lady.​
